Kal made organizational changes all year long with the goal to put people in the right roles. Several front line managers did not display strong managerial and leadership skills and Kal recognized and addressed this. He was also able to fill the Associate Director of Operations position and create acceptance at the scientist level regarding the new reporting structure.
Throughout this entire process, he was working with several agencies and is actively searching through his broader network. We also went through an extensive whiteboard exercise which led to the upcoming January restructure and we have a plan in place to transform the scientist/lab staff ratio over the next few years. It feels like things are moving in the right direction and Kal's strong leadership presence on site has gained employee trust and we are moving in the right direction.
Since Kal took over the position as site lead in SHR, he was able to transform the site in its entirety. Processes, clients, employees, a lot of meaningful changes took place. It takes a strong leader to mitigate any upcoming anxiety and concerns and to portray the future vision of the site for the employees.
